OUR STORY
Cross to Life Church gathers weekly in Olivehurst, a small town in the Yuba-Sutter community. We are a small group of people with a desire to be a lighthouse to people in the surrounding area. Our heart is for people to experience a rich relationship with God through Jesus, the Word of God.

LEAD PASTOR STEVE REYNOLDS
Pastor Steve has a passion to rightly divide the Word of Truth. It is his heart’s desire each Sunday, to deliver a message bathed in prayer and yielded to the direction of the Holy Spirit. His messages are delivered in a preacher/teacher style, tend to be deep in thought supported strongly with scriptures.
Through the years he has served in many ministry capacities in churches as he has a deep love for the truth of God and a heart for serving the Lord. He grew up in Yuba County and in 1982 married his wife Sandy. Together they chose to live in Rocklin where they volunteered on a continual basis serving in children ministries, youth ministries, Bible classes and more. Eventually, they moved to Sutter county where they raised three children and was deeply involved in serving the Lord in any capacity needed at Word of Life Church in Marysville.
Steve has a passion for learning and through the years he has acquired degrees in various studies. Graduating with an AA Degree in Biblical Studies from Emmanuel Bible College in Geogia, BA Degree in Christian Ministries from Pacific Coast Bible College(Now Advantage College), AS Degree in General Drafting and Engineering from Sierra College, and a BS degree in Business Management Systems Information from University of Phoenix. He currently is employed as a project manager/estimator/draftsman for a glazing company.
His heart’s desire for Cross to Life Church is to promote people to worship God in Spirit and in Truth through encouraging people to engage the Spirit of God, sharing messages centered on Biblical truth, and to encourage people to personally live out Biblical truth.
WE BELIEVE
Jesus Christ, the only begotten son of the Father, took the nature of mankind in the womb of the virgin Mary. Arose from the dead and ascended into
heaven, where He remains until the time He will return to judge all people.
The foundation of the church is Jesus Christ as the chief cornerstone(1 Peter 2:6)
The Holy Spirit is our builder as Jesus declared, “on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.”(Matthew 16:18 )
The Bible is “God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
God as the one living and true God, everlasting, of infinite power, wisdom and goodness; Maker and Preserver of all things, both visible and invisible. And in the unity of this Godhead, there are three Persons of one substance of eternal being, and equal in holiness, justice, wisdom, power, and dignity; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.
Redemption through Jesus Christ shedding His blood for the cancellation of our past sins, the restoration of all sinners who repent, and salvation from sin and sinning (Romans 3:25; 1 John 3:5-10; Ephesians 2:1-10).
Justification before God is by faith alone. (Romans 5:1)
Sanctification by faith in Christ is an instant work of grace (Acts 26:18; 1 John 1:9) followed by a lifelong process of spiritual growth after conversion (2 Corinthians 4:16; 2 Peter 3:18).
Baptism of the Holy Spirit is available by faith in Jesus (Matthew 3:11; Acts 1:5; 2:1-4; 8:17; 10:44-46; 19:6)
In the Infilling Power of the Holy Spirit which distributes different gifts through people as He wills so as to build the church of the living God. (1 Corinthians 12:7-12)
Divine healing was made available through Christ’s death on the Cross (Isaiah 53:4, 5; Matthew 8:16, 17; Mark 16:14-18; James 5:14-16; Exodus 15:26).
The imminent second coming of Jesus Christ (1 Thessalonians 4:15-17; Titus 2:13; 2 Peter 3:10-14; Matthew 24:29-44), and love and wait for His appearing (2 Timothy 4:8).
